Monikko ry is an organization which operates in Central Finland and promotes multiculturalism and well-being. Monikko organizes events and activities to people in all age groups.
Monikko ry administers Paloma-activities. Paloma-activities are designed for elderly (55+), immigrants and original Finnish population. Regular activities support well-being of the elderly.
Paloma project (2013-2015) was administered by Monikko ry and financed by STEA. Later project’s activities has become a permanent part of organization’s action. Activities are designed for aging (55+) immigrants and original Finnish population to promote their well-being and to prevent social exclusion.
Monikko ry is a non-governmental organization founded in 2008. It operates in City of Jyväskylä and in other municipalities in Central Finland.
Monikko promotes internationality, multiculturalism and tolerance. We aim to promote interaction between people from different cultures and make them understand each other better. Monikko also supports immigrants’ integration in the Finnish society and culture.
Our purpose is to connect immigrants with original population by collective activities.
Activities are designed for elderly (55+) immigrants and Finns to promote their well-being and to prevent social exclusion.
Paloma organizes events and clubs in various neighbourhoods in Jyväskylä, including Finnish language courses, computer support, dance and other sports and also music and handcraft clubs. Multicultural events, sport events, visits and trips are also part of our activity. Activities are customer oriented and have been acknowledged by participants and cooperation partners.
Activities are accessible and open to everyone. Paloma-activity expand also to other municipalities in Central Finland. We warmly welcome everybody to join!
